My Four Goals for 2016

Happy New Years!!!

What? It’s mid February? Already? Seriously?

Well, is it too late to make my resolutions for 2016? You know what, whatever, I’m just going to do. Besides, I’ve already started them, so you really can’t stop me.

This year I have four goals and I want it noted that I reserve the right to add addition goals to my list at any time. But will I? Not likely in the least, but I like to keep my options open.

1. Learn to garden. More specifically, start a vegetable garden. My mom had the greenest thumb of anyone I know. She loved growing flowers and she was so good at it. And then there’s me. I have a blackened and withered thumb that kills all plants. It’s something of a talent really. In fact, if I was a super villain it would be my super power.

Now you see how much I have to overcome. Step one to growing a veggie garden is complete – plant my little baby seeds. Grow veggies, grow!
2. Simplify and minimize. Basically, if we haven’t used it in a year and it isn’t a keepsake, I’m ditching it. I’ve filled twelve bags of clothes and other doodads to donate already.

My closet is so empty now! And I still have so much to do before I’m done! It’s actually been a lot of fun to go through and simplify
3. Write one new blog post every week. This one is quite possibly the hardest one for me to keep. But, by George, I’m determined to get it done! I would love to grow and develop myself into a much better blogger this year.

4. Take a black and while portrait of each of my kids every week for a year. This one is the second hardest. There’s four of them and one of me and getting them to sit still is a challenge in itself. So far, I’ve done it though. This year I hope to grow into a better photographer. Both blogging and photography take A LOT of practice and I’m willing to put that time in!

If you have any questions or tips for me for any of my goals, please feel free to leave them for me in the comments!

This wasn’t what I was originally going to post but I like it and I hope you do too.

Love, Livi
