Aubi is Five

Dear Aubi, Today you are five. Five years ago, early in the morning, I held your tiny body in my arms for the first time. For five full years you have been making us smile, laugh, and so filled with joy! My prayer for you is that I show you patience and grace as The Lord has shown me patience and grace. I pray that I teach you the ways of The Lord and that your life will be a testament to His love and mercy. I pray that in everything that you do, you will glorify Him. If you follow The Lord and make Him Lord of your life, then all my prayers will have been answered. The Lord has given you many gifts and skills, Aubi Roo. You are so intelligent and advanced for your age. We’ve been working through a kindergarten math book and you are just breezing through it like its nothing. You are bold, determined, and spunky. You can be quite headstrong at times, but I know that these characteristics …

Oliver Turns One

Hello, friends! I haven’t been posting to my blog like I wanted to. I will be better! I am determined to make this a habit! So, Ollie turned one! A couple weeks ago, but it happened. My baby is on his way to being a toddler, which is hard for a momma to accept. Well, it is for this momma! Here’s some pictures from our celebration and a letter to the birthday boy at the end.  Dear Ollie,  Today you are one. To think that it’s been a year since I first held you in my arms is amazing. This year was filled with difficulties and, more importantly, tons upon tons of joy. I marvel constantly at the wonder of The Lord – that he would give us two beautiful daughters and two handsome sons. I am overwhelmed at his goodness. Oliver, your father and I pray for you everyday. That you will grow strong and healthy, that you will grow in Godly character, that The Lord will work in your heart and make you …

Elli Turns Seven

My Elli turned seven this past Saturday and as I do every birthday I wrote her a letter and I’m sharing it here. There’s also pictures of her birthday weekend and some of her birthday photo shoot we did at the end so don’t miss those! Dear Elli, We have been celebrating your seventh birthday this weekend. Seven years ago you made me a mommy for the very first time. You were such a tiny little thing at 6 lbs 7 oz. I remember seeing and holding you for the first time and thinking you were the most beautiful person I’d ever met. Seven years later and you are even more beautiful today. I remember seeing the look on your daddy’s face when he looked at you. That first look of love is something I will never forget. You changed our lives forever. I don’t say this lightly, Elli Bean, but you are so amazing. You are so many things that I wish I could be. You are considerate, compassionate, kind, the best big sister, …

Oliver Turns Eight Months

Eight months has passed since I gave birth to the most joyful baby ever. He’s also the loudest baby ever. Seriously, this kid can scream. Eight months…I need to let that sink in some more. That’s two thirds of a year, right? I don’t like math. Let’s not talk about math. A few months ago Elli (6) told me that when she grows up she wants to be an explorer and go on an adventure to discover dragons. This was a few months ago, mind you, and I’m pretty sure she has since changed her career choice to ninja artist, but I think if any of her siblings were to join her on her quest it would be Oliver. He is always into something. They all have an adventurous spirit – each to their own degree- but Ollie takes the cake on most adventurous baby. He is a joyful, sweet little thing. He now weighs 17 lbs and he babbles, giggles, and wiggles constantly. He can climb just about anything he can get his chubby …

Isaac turns two

This week my third baby and first son turned two. Birthdays are really flippin’ hard for mommas. It’s such a joy to see your child growing up, but I hate realizing that he isn’t my little baby anymore and all these sweet cuddles will someday end. Well, that’s a bit of a downer. I’ll try to focus on all the positive from this point forth, but honestly, I’m an emotional wreck so don’t hold me to that. Let’s go over what we did that day. We woke up bright and early to spend the day at the dentist’s office getting our teeth cleaned. Fun, right? Probably the best birthday ever haha! That’s what’s so great with these tiny humans – they don’t really care what you’re doing as long you’re doing it together. This picture is me and the boys in the waiting area of the dentist’s office. We tend to take over small establishments with our size. Yes, Isaac was stripping for the elderly couple waiting with us. Clothes are for the birds. I …
